New symbols in the Score Editor allow open/closed/half-open techniques to be added as well. Studio One can also analyze incoming note information from the drum editor or a real time record and assign the notes into different voices automatically.
For example, set hi-hat notes with stems up, while kick and snare drum notes have their stems down. The new Voice Selector can also be used to assign drum-note stems up or down. Once you have created your drum map, notes can then be placed into the drum score with a useful drum name label appearing in the cursor before entry. A General MIDI drum map preset is included as standard to provide a time-saving starting point for naming and mapping your favorite drum libraries. Custom drum maps are not only saved with your Song, they can be saved and recalled separately as presets as well.
